Having to plug smartphones into chargers every 24 hours, give or take, may seem ridiculously old-school a decade from now. Stanford scientists have designed a battery that could last up to four times as long as current models. "We solved a couple of major problems, but I think there's a few years of research needed," said team leader Yi Cui. "I think we're looking at a five-year timescale." [More...]
