| Organizations and employees are turning to mobile technology to improve productivity, drive operational efficiencies, and innovate the handling of routine processes and functions, increasing the prevalence and reliance on mobile devices and applications in the workplace. With the accelerated pace of change in mobile technology, organizations can be overwhelmed by mobile device activation and deactivation, security and support, application deployment, email security, and the demands of BYOD (bring your own device). Mobility expertise is in high demand. Hiring, training, and retaining competent staff with the skill and knowledge to support mobile initiatives translates into high operational and labor investments. In addition, creating the infrastructure and processes to support mobility takes time and know how, which, if not implemented properly, can pose security risks and hinder the overall success of mobility programs. |
