Windows Azure on your terms - Hands-on training from El Reg

Windows Azure on your terms
Free hands-on training from The Register
10th October 2013. 10am GMT / 11am BST / 12pm CEST

Hi Etechnews Today,

On the 10th of October we're broadcasting a live, hands-on training
session on Windows Azure that you can enjoy for free from the
comfort of your desk or sofa.

The session will introduce and demonstrate how to get started with
Windows Azure, giving an overview of its key features - particularly
the recently released Infrastructure-as-a-Service capabilities - and
a deep dive into some specifics.

This will include demonstrating how to use the Windows Azure web
portal to create virtual machines running both Linux and Windows,
and how to get both Microsoft and non-Microsoft applications and
servers running in the Windows Azure cloud. As part of this we'll be
looking at how to SSH in and install Apache on a Linux server.

We'll also demonstrate how to configure a virtual network in the
cloud and connect it via VPN to your own on-premise network, and how
to begin scripting the creation of your cloud computing
infrastructure using PowerShell.

The show is hosted by our very own Tim Phillips and he will be joined
by Matt Bishop from training experts QA training, who'll be doing the
'hands-on' part.

If you need or want to know how to get stuck into Windows Azure, this
is just the thing. Find out more, and sign up here...
