Today's Story Highlights

Powerful Nokia Tablet Focuses on Photo Skills
Nokia has announced its first Windows tablet, the Lumia 2520, along with
two phablets with 6-inch screens. The 2520 is "designed for people who
like to take photos on their smartphones and edit them on tablets,"
noted tech analyst Rob Enderle. The phablets "can be used as pretty
decent readers, so they're a good alternative to having to carry both a
phone and a tablet."

All Things Appy: Top 5 Chrome Tools for Podcasts and the Spoken Word
A desktop is a fine spot for browsing the world's spoken-word media, and
the Chrome browser is a fine tool to do it with. This week's All Things
Appy takes a look at the top must-have, free apps for the Chrome browser
environment. We include some for Internet radio, some for podcasts and
one for quickly grabbing a podcast feed. Our top choice? Stitcher, which
serves you over 15,000 podcasts and radio shows.

Swedish Judge Not Very Perturbed by Teen's Porn-sploitation Stunt
A Swedish court reduced the fine for a teenage boy who uploaded a
pornographic video of his unwitting then-girlfriend. The original fine
was going to be about US$20,000 but was reduced to less than $4,000
after the ruling. Notably, the court justified its decision by asserting
that young people are "so open" about their sexual behavior that such a
large fine was unjustified.

How to Tease the Best Photos Out of Your Android Phone
Recently I wrote about some of the best ways to take, keep and share
photographs with an Android smartphone. We looked at some physical
aspects, like how to hold the phone, and how to zoom. This week, we're
looking at some of the tweaks you can make to squeeze out the best
shots. First, build an arsenal of apps. For an investment of a few
dollars, you can up your game.

Obduction Comes Out of the Myst
Way back in 1993, a little exploratory puzzle mystery game called Myst
was released for the Mac. It took off to become one of the best-selling
-- and moodiest -- games ever, expanding to a variety of other
platforms. The creators followed up with Riven, and now, 20 years after
Myst, they are using Kickstarter to launch a new indie-developed game,
Obduction.

You've Got to Touch Apple's Airy New iPad to Believe It
In a flurry of presentations at its special media event on Tuesday,
Apple introduced new iPads, MacBook Pros, the Mac Pro, OS X Mavericks --
available immediately, and free -- as well new generations of iWork and
iLife app suites. The biggest buzz comes from Apple's brand new iPad,
the iPad Air, which is 20 percent thinner and 28 percent lighter than
the fourth-generation iPad that it replaces.
