Legal Piracy: Antigua's Desperate, Fearless Ultimatum (21:51)
About six years ago, the World Trade Organization sided with the itty-
bitty Caribbean island of Antigua on its claim that the United States'
ban on overseas remote gaming violated international trade agreements.
The WTO upheld its ruling last winter, confirming once and for all that
the island could suspend its obligations to certain U.S. intellectual
property rights.

Today's Story Highlights

AT&T Plans Exclusive Debut for $100 HTC One Mini
AT&T announced Monday that it will be the exclusive carrier to launch
the HTC One Mini, the smaller, cheaper version of the company's flagship
smartphone. The HTC One Mini has already made its debut overseas, but
AT&T will be the first carrier to offer a slightly different version of
the phone in the U.S. The device checks in at 4.3 inches, only a little
smaller than the 4.7-inch HTC One.

UK Newspaper's Hard Drives Next to Suffer Over NSA Leaks
London editor Alan Rusbridger wrote a column Monday detailing how
British law enforcement had destroyed hard drives at his newspaper's
offices. The destruction was purportedly to prevent additional leaks
about the National Security Agency. Prior to destroying the hard drives,
Rusbridger writes, an official told him, "You've had your debate.
There's no need to write any more."

No Bounty for Zuckerberg Page Hacker, Facebook Says
Facebook, which offers a bounty of $500 or more to anyone who discovers
a bug in its system, has come under fire for refusing to reward an out-
of-work Palestinian programmer who reported a vulnerability that let
people post to strangers' accounts without authorization. The
programmer, Khalil Shreateh, resorted to hacking Facebook CEO Mark
Zuckerberg's page to prove his point.

The Future of Farming, Part 2: New Growth Patterns
Few earthly ag tech environments -- at least in the United States --
come more controlled than the Houweling's Tomatoes Ultra-Clima
greenhouse facility in Camarillo, Calif., where the company produces a
broad range of tomatoes and cucumbers grown hydroponically under glass
across 125 acres. Houweling's is a family-owned company that operates a
total 175.5 acres of high-tech hydroponic greenhouses.

A Twist of Timelime Makes Time Tracking More Fun
Let's face it. No one likes keeping track of time spent working. If
you're a professional like an attorney, you may be able to pass the task
off to someone else. Most of us, though, have to go through the grind of
keeping tabs on our work hours ourselves. Some of that grind can be
reduced -- maybe even become more enjoyable -- with Timelime.

Tokutek's John Partridge: Open Source Is Vested in Big Data
Ask Tokutek CEO John Partridge what makes open source such a snug fit
for the database industry and for Big Data, and he'll tell you it is the
decision-making by engineers that use open source. "For people who for
whatever reason really need to access the latest technology, most
purchasing decisions today are made by very capable engineers,"
Partridge said.
