Legal Piracy: Antigua's Desperate, Fearless Ultimatum (21:51)
About six years ago, the World Trade Organization sided with the itty-
bitty Caribbean island of Antigua on its claim that the United States'
ban on overseas remote gaming violated international trade agreements.
The WTO upheld its ruling last winter, confirming once and for all that
the island could suspend its obligations to certain U.S. intellectual
property rights.

Today's Story Highlights

The Supersized Smartphones Cometh
There's no doubt phablets have become increasingly commonplace in the
mobile computing arena, but several new devices promise to take the
tablet-smartphone hybrids to bigger size extremes than ever. Samsung,
for instance, announced on Monday that it is bringing its Galaxy Mega
smartphone -- featuring a 6.3-inch screen -- to the United States
market.

How to Use a Windows PC as an Internet Hotspot
If you're like many, you're sprouting portable devices. Tablets, e-
readers and phones are taking over our pockets and bags; add mobile
games consoles and phoneless iPod touches for the kids, and that's a lot
of Internet connections to maintain when out and about. It's a gaggle of
device connections that's hard to sustain because each one needs
configuring onto a hotspot.

The Age of Quantum Information Teleportation Dawns
Researchers at ETH Zurich have teleported information from one end of a
superconducting circuit to another -- a distance of 6mm. The experiment
has two unusual features: 1) It is the first time quantum teleportation
was conducted over a circuit without the use of a powerful laser beam;
and 2) the information was relayed making use of the laws of quantum
physics rather than classical physics.

UK Detains Partner of Leak-Publishing Journalist
The partner of Glenn Greenwald, the journalist with The Guardian who has
published a slew of articles detailing National Security Agency
surveillance programs, was detained for nearly nine hours Sunday at
London's Heathrow Airport. Greenwald's partner, David Miranda, was en
route from Berlin to his home in Rio de Janeiro when he was stopped by
officers at just after 8:00 a.m.

Icahn vs. Apple: When Did Extortion Become Legal?
What Carl Icahn has been doing with Dell -- and now with Apple -- is
kind of like a protection racket. These were popular in the 1920s -- you
paid the crime syndicate a fee if you wanted to say in business. I'm
wondering if Icahn has found a legal way to extort money from companies
in trouble. Icahn not only doesn't provide value for the "help" he gives
-- he actually drains the firm's resources.

Who's Afraid of Linux Malware?
There once was a time when Windows users could feel relatively safe and
secure as they made their online excursions around the World Wide Web.
Those days ended relatively quickly, of course, followed soon afterwards
by a similar waning of confidence on the Mac side. For those of us who
prefer Linux, however, the Age of Innocence -- as one might call it --
has lasted much longer.

Hey Buddy, Fix Your Face - Oh Wait, I Can Do It for You With Facetune
Longtime readers know I'm a fan of straightforward apps that do one core
thing really well. Facetune lets you fancy up portrait photos of your
friends -- or your selfies -- and it's fantastic. In fact, it's got the
perfect blend of powerful tools with utter simplicity. Want to whiten
your best man's yellowish teeth? No problem. Boom, white like Ryan
Seacrest.
