Earth-to-Moon Laser Tests Could Ignite New Era in Space Comms

 | Space communications are about to get a whole lot more interesting. Out with the somewhat primitive radio transmissions, and in with laser beams. Laser communication will allow the transmission of 3D, high- definition video signals to Earth, according to NASA. That will, essentially, allow humans on Earth to remotely control robots in scenarios such as asteroid mining, for example. [See Full Story] |
