Exclusive: Time Warner CEO says company may consider Aereo-like streaming service |
| | | | | Thursday, May 2, 2013 4:56:15 PM | | | Technology News Alert | | Time Warner Cable's chief executive said his company may consider capturing television content from public airwaves and delivering them to customers over a Web connection, a practice pioneered by a little-known upstart called Aereo. The business model has shaken the entertainment industry and led to two unsuccessful lawsuits from all of the nation's broadcasters. "What Aereo is doing to bring broadcast signals to its customers is interesting," Time Warner Cable chief executive Glenn Britt said in an interview with The Washington Post.
