Virtual Testing Trims Real World Costs and Delivery Times (23:58)
"We have to provide better and faster services to our customers every
week and every month. We mostly had problems on issues such as the
accessibility, authorization, downtime, and private data for reaching
the other third party's infrastructures," said Hasan Yukselten, test and
release manager for TTNET. "So we needed virtualization on our test
systems and we needed automation for getting fast deployment."

Today's Story Highlights

Haswell Battery Life Claims Energize Hopes for PC Industry
Despite improvements in processing power in recent years, battery life
remains an issue with the growth of mobile devices. Intel has looked to
address this with a new family of Core processors code-named Haswell,
which the company said Thursday will offer up to 50 percent more battery
life for laptops than its previous Ivy Bridge chips provided.

AMD Stakes Out Mobile Territory With New Low-Power Chips
Perennial Intel competitor AMD on Thursday launched three additions to
its 2013 A-Series and E-series mobile accelerated processing unit
family. They include the Elite Mobility APU, previously code-named
"Temash," and the Mainstream APU, formerly code-named "Kabini." Both are
system on a chip solutions based on AMD's "Jaguar" microarchitecture for
low-power processors.

Kim Dotcom: Two-Step Authentication Patent Is Mine
Kim Dotcom, founder of the seized file-sharing site Megaupload, hinted
via Twitter that he might sue the slew of companies using two-step
authentication, for which Dotcom claims to own the patent. Dotcom
provided a link to a patent that deals with two layers of
identification, corroborating his purported ownership.

The iWatch's Time Will Be 2014, Says Analyst
Will we see an iWatch in 2014? Ming-Chi Kuo thinks so. In a research
note this week, the KGI Securities analyst predicted that Apple had too
much on its plate in 2013 to introduce a smartwatch, but is readying the
device for next year. The company's entry into the wearable computer
market will be a device that attaches to the wrist, Kuo said, but it
will not be positioned as a watch.

Google's All Access Music Service Starts on the Right Note
Google has refreshed its music app. It's a big deal, because Google has
introduced custom radio and an a la carte music streaming service, All
Access, for an introductory price that's $2.00 cheaper than a la carte
streaming leader Spotify. You can try the service free for 30 days, and
if you start a trial by June 30, it will then cost $7.99 a month to
continue.

Twitter Learns How to Do the 2-Step
Twitter has announced it is deploying a long-awaited security measure:
two-factor verification. The move comes about a month after The
Associated Press' Twitter account was hacked. Twitter is late to the
game with this security tactic. A number of companies already feature
it. However, the company must have scrambled to get it in place after
hackers sent the stock market reeling last month

Nvidia's GTX 780 Boosts Performance With Less Tweaking
With a slew of advanced action games for the PC on deck for release
later this year, including Activision's just announced Call of Duty:
Ghosts and Electronic Arts' Battlefield 4, Nvidia has introduced a
graphics card that will provide top-notch performance for gamers. The
GeForce GTX 780 GPU is the latest evolution in Nvidia's line of powerful
Kepler-enabled processors.

Google's Makani Buy Could Take Wind Energy to Higher Levels
Google X Labs, the not-so-secret-but-secretive facility that works on
cutting edge projects, has bought airborne wind turbine developer Makani
Power, which announced the news on its website. Makani uses tethered
aircraft that fly in figure 8s to generate power. The purchase
formalizes a long and productive relationship between the two companies.
