| SUVs rule in NYC | We've concluded our coverage of the new model launches at the New York auto show, which opens to the public this weekend, and we were overwhelmed from the sheer number of new SUVs. As opposed to the old gasoline-hungry monsters, many of this new breed feature hybrid drivetrains, using battery packs to capture braking energy. The new Jeep Cherokee inspired many to comment on its looks, and Subaru showed off its first hybrid in compact SUV form.
