WEBCAST :: Private clouds creep into the enterprise - But don't forget the networks

Private clouds creep into the enterprise
But don't forget the networks
11am GMT / 12pm CET, 15th February 2013

Hi Etechnews Today,

According to Register readers, Private Cloud is creeping towards being
a central plank of IT with more than 30% estimating their IT will be
based on such a dynamic infrastructure within three years. This isn't
a project that can be done at server level in isolation of course.
It's a project that needs everyone and almost everything in harmony.

On the 15th of February we've got a live broadcast that will be looking
at what it takes to deliver these projects successfully. And we'll be
zooming in on one of the often overlooked areas - the network.

Once the servers and storage are virtualised, the network is going to
experience traffic patterns the likes of which it has probably never
witnessed. Whilst managing these surges by hand is doable, it's likely
to temper any benefit of the dynamic infrastructure. This is why
software defined networks are seeing a rise in prominence. They should,
in theory, enable networks to be dynamically configured to contend with
the demands of the private cloud infrastructure.

Sound complicated? Fear not, we have a room of experts to help you.
Freeform Dynamics' Andy Buss, HP's Eugene Berger and Trevor Kelly and
our very own Tim Phillips will be helping you through the mire. They're
primed to handle your questions live from the studio and have lots of
facts, figures and real world experience to share with you.

The broadcast is free to attend from the comfort of your desk and
should last about an hour. Click below to secure your place.
