Free Editor lets you open and edit over 70 different file types for free

Feb 15, 2013 2:04 PM

There's Word for DOC files, Excel for XLS files, PowerPoint for presentations, image editors, video and music players, PDF viewers, Hex editors, ZIP expanders, and the list goes on. Most of us use a separate program for each one of these purposes and never stop to think about it. Free Editor claims to open for viewing and editing all the aforementioned file types, and more, all by itself. Note: The "Download Now" button on the Product Information page will download the software to your system.

For a tune-up suite, System Mechanic is a good choice

I pitted them against one another in a standard registry scan, and System Mechanic found just over 800 problems that CCleaner didn't detect. Note: The "Download Now" button on the Product Information page takes you to the vendor's site, where you can download the latest version of the software.
