within their own borders? It's a question of international norms, said

Your iPhone Could Be Poisoned by Its Charger
Researchers at the Georgia Institute of Technology have developed a way
to hack into iOS devices through a modified charger. Billy Lau, a
research scientist at the institute, together with two Ph.D. students,
will present a paper on it at Black Hat USA 2013. It took only 1 minute
for an iOS device to be compromised after being plugged into a malicious
charger.

No 'Big Yellow Duck' on Chinese Twitter
The anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre in 1989 has prompted
Chinese authorities to expand the list of words and phrases barred from
Sina Weibo, the country's Twitter-like platform. This is par for the
course in China, where in 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 -- basically every year
social media has been huge -- the Net police have exerted extra
authority to squelch conversation about the event.

Foxconn Jumps on Firefox OS Bandwagon
Foxconn Technology Group, best known as the go-to maker of Apple's iPads
and iPhones, said Monday it had embraced Mozilla's Firefox OS and would
use the mobile platform on a raft of new devices, including a tablet it
showed off at Computex. The company also demoed several smartphones
running the Firefox OS and said it would make tablets, laptops and other
devices supporting it.

Google Glass Won't Know Your Name - for Now
Google will not add facial recognition capabilities to Google Glass
until it can add appropriate privacy protections to the new technology,
the company said in a post on Google+ late Friday. "As Google has said
for several years, we won't add facial recognition features to our
products without having strong privacy protections in place," the post
reads.

Next Galaxy Tab May Roll In With Intel's Clover
Samsung's rumored selection of Intel's Clover Trail+ mobile system on a
chip for at least one version of its upcoming Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 was
given fresh strength by a Reuters report last week. The rumor had been
floating around for weeks, fueled by the publication online of 3D
graphics bench test results of a Samsung "Santos 103" tablet running
Android 4.2.2.
