 | Standing about 13 inches tall, Kirobo looks more like a toy than an astronaut, but the little guy will soon make history. Kirobo will be the first robot to talk to an Earthling in space. Robots who can converse more or less naturally with humans will play an important role in space exploration, but they may become even more valuable on Earth as helpmates for a growing elderly population.
